Default Wolfmother recording cover for tribute album

Andrew posted this on his twitter on the 17th:

"We're working on a cover for a tribute album, it should be mixed by the end of the day! More info coming soon..."

I had no idea they were involved in something like this... wonder what it could be. It's only a cover, but i'll take it!

Yeah, I heard it too. Cool thing! I guess you guys have heard there Zeppelin cover? They did an amazing job with it! Performing it in front of such stars.

Looking forward to know what cover they are actually doing!

you mean their cover of Communication Breakdown? i love that cover!
their riders on the storm cover is one of my favorites as well.. the animals cover is pretty good too.

I hope they cover "How Many More Times" by Led Zeppelin. Lots of "howls" in there

antala: Yeah it would be cool! But there communication breakdown is really cool! Like the way he uses fuzz instead of the brittish OD Page used to, I have actually changed to a lighter fuzz instead of my OD pedal! Gives it a more modern, dirty distortion that has a lot of sustain and so on... OFF TOPIC

Gash! But still can't wait till their cover comes out!

This is from Duff Mckagan's weekly article..

Rumor has it that we may be recording a song for an upcoming ZZ Top tribute record this weekend too. If it doesn't happen this week, it will happen soon, I am told. Other acts include Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon, Wolfmother, Stone Sour, and more. Either way, the record should be pretty interesting.

So looks like its a ZZ Top cover..

heres a link if you want to read the full article..
