    Default E.P all the way!

Totally agreed with Danleary, he nailed it. Keyboard / organ should be more prominent in the mix and production-wise should either aim to return to the sound of the first EP or album... a little more raw and vunerable than the over-slick Cosmic Egg.

I'd prefer an EP because it'd probably be done a lot sooner than another album... and with less tracks there's no room for filler!

Something on the minds of a lot of Wolfmother fans over at the wolfmother.net forums (which you should check out if you haven't already, it's more populated) is the fate of the unreleased songs performed live at the Andy Warhol / GOMA show. Personally, that version of Violence Of The Sun was un-fucking-believable and should have made Cosmic Egg, though I'm glad the other version was on the album because it is just as epic (but in a slow, heavy, dramatic way). We'd love to hear that stuff recorded, it'd make a good EP to put out to tide the fans over before some NEW stuff is ready to go...

    1. Monolith
    2. Inside The Mountain
    3. Violence Of The Sun
    4. Perfect Day

In any case, the GOMA version of Violence should be put out at some point in the future. Please!

As I mentioned on the Wolfmother.net forums, I definitely want more Pleased to Meet you's and Back Rounds. I felt they had a raw appeal and just pure energy which is a side of wolfmother i love. I did think that violence of the sun performed at the GOMA was better than the current version. However In The Castle have always believed to be a transformed version of that song...

so i say ALBUM if it is out by the end of the year however.. EP would be quicker... also wheres that Cosmic Egg box set eh :P

Andrew, make an album that takes the best elements of the first two albums and create and awsome and epic peace of music, weather it be an EP or Album.

Thank you Andrew we've been *patiently* awaiting new material since CE. But, in my opinion, i would rather an EP, with the small studio style.
But of course, any way you go, i'm sure the fans will follow. Ultimately, just do what feels right.

    [QUOTE....to hear peoples opinions...

    Andrew[/QUOTE]

I reckon you should of course do the recording in your home studio. Its cheaper ( even though that probably means nothing to you ) and it keeps that awesome heavy sort of vintage wolfmother vibe. [ you surely havent forgotton your c, d, e, f, ]

Compared to your original album at first, cosmic didnt really appeal to me. I bought it anyway coz i <3 WM, then the songs started to sink in and i love all of them!

I would tell my mates, " listen to this song" they would puy the earphones in and rip them out just coz its WM. It really annonys me that they cant even listen to REAL music.

Anyway you asked for our opinions and you got it. Oh and plz keep us updated on youtube!

Albert here from clipsal 2009. You seem to have been well all on the videos and such and I truly do hope this is the case...its a good time on earth to be a human being with your band's sounds all a happening in ears worldwide, and I hope equally pleasant tunes fill yours.
So listen *first* make sure you get involved in the new Heavy Metal film soundtrack, bra.
Its gonna grab your ass, dust it off, and kick it epically as it is already, but with WMs involvement, especially if you chillax, stay true to yourselves and give it all youve got, man, some of your tunes could create a Supernova of a film experience.
and that goes for any recordings, if/when they happen, dude...just keep the vision, of mindbending landscapes, far-off worlds, deeply-thought sentiments about love, nature, and dreams...as both your records have captured...and think about calling the dang thing Mammoth!!

I had *visions* man, just from *hearing* Monolith...of like, dark and black landscapes, but running across them, and glimpsing eyes in the wasteland chasing me, and reaching the Monolith and its aura scaring the astral beasties away! haha and yup I was saved in a hallucination by your tunes, well done. but yeah we all flipped out when we heard that rumor...actually better not on principle, just title it whatever feels like what youve made. good aural travels my friend,
continuing to make my drawings as I hope you'll always do with Ian, Will and Aiden
    peacefizzles,
    Albert

ps: and grow the fro man...*pats your shoulder* grow the fro : p

To start Andrew, I just want to say that I love WM, the music has been a huge inspiration for me.

With that out of the way, back on topic. I for one would love to hear a new album/EP from the band, I'm not too picky about how it's recorded, because i loved the sound of both albums. One thing I would like to hear though is the bulk of unreleased material that the band has recorded. I for one loved Inside the mountain & monolith & would love to hear studio versions of those. I also remember hearing that the band recorded several Hendrix songs as b-sides, with only a few getting released.

What i would love to see is a release combining a couple of new songs with the unreleased material from the Cosmic Egg sessions. I guarantee the fans would love it!

    Sincerely,
    - Matt
